Canada dry soft drink

The term was coined by Paul Fournel said that the taste and odour of a restriction but does not follow a restriction.

The drink was invented by John McLaughlin, a Toronto pharmacist. It is a lighter ‘pale dry’ version of the then standard Belfasts-style ginger ales.

He bottled this product and sold it at fairs and at beaches.

His ‘Champagne of Ginger Ales’ quickly became a well-regarded beverage throughout Canada, where it was officially admitted into the Royal Household of the Governor General.

Canada Dry change hands several times. Dr Pepper bought Canada Dry in 1982. Later, Canada Dry is owned by Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which was spun off when Cadbury and Schweppes demerged in 2008.
